My first day back on track is done!

Today was an excellent day! 

Today’s Meals:

Meal 1: 1c Lean Beef Chili with 1/3 chopped Avocado (Yum, yum, yum!)

Meal 2: Anti-Pasti Plate

Meal 3: Chocolate Protein Goo (Lean Dessert Chocolate Fudge Pudding, Natural PB and a bit of water, mixed)

Meal 4: 2 small pieces of Baked BBQ Chicken and a large bowl of Harvest Salad (mixed greens, dried cranberries, walnuts and an apple cider vinaigrette… Mmmmmm)

I got in lots of water today and all my supplements!  I’m really bad about getting in all my supplements.

Workout:

45 minutes of Cardio on the Treadmill (Hill Program, level 10 at 3.3mph)

Leg Day baby! Gotta love those tushy lifting squats and lunges… ok… maybe LOVE is a strong word… LOL… hehehe… just teasing Meghan!

20 minutes in the far infared sauna… aaahhhhhh.

Fantastic Day!  Tomorrow will be just as great!

60 Days! – I’m Freaking Out!!!!

515858_pen_and_numbers60 days left… that’s it… and roughly 35lbs to go!!!  I’m freaking out!  It’s been a great day though… right on track… I feel like my mindset is right back where it needs to be.  I have absolutely decided that all grains are out until the end of the competition.  Even oatmeal sets off cravings for me… it’s crazy.  My carbiest meal of the day is breakfast, so this morning I had something unusual… Chili!  I made a pot of chili with beans, tomatoes and lean beef and had 1c of that for breakfast with 1/3 of an avocado diced… Yum! It was so good and killed my hunger until lunch time.  It didn’t set off cravings… which means beans are a safe bet for carbs.  Lunch was another interesting choice.  I went a little higher in fat and sodium than normal… but it was yummy and satisfying.  I made a small anti-pasti plate.  I used 3oz of turkey, 1/2 a sliced cucumber, about a tablespoon of reduced fat feta, 1/3 of a diced avocado, and 6 olives.  It was so good!  I’m due to have a protein shake right now… I’m not hungry at all… but I’m just going to have to get it down.    

I also got to the gym this morning for my AM cardio!  It’s leg day and I knew that I would wimp out on doing cardio after my workout.  I am going to get into the sauna after I finish though.  I’ve read a little bit about the far infared saunas online and it’s really interesting.  After a little more research I’ll post an article with more information. 

I’m not planning to weigh in again until Monday… hopefully by then I’ll have undone the damage done by my little indiscretions and major slacking.   I’m so anxious to get down to the 130s… I haven’t been there since I was 19 or 20… It blows my mind that I am so close now!  I went shopping a couple of weeks ago and bought 2 pairs of pants… one in a size 12 and one in a size 10!  9 months ago I was barely squeezing into a size 20!!!  To date, I have lost 65lbs since our accident in February.  I can’t believe that I’m actually doing it…. that I have actually changed my life!
